Maps

  • Centre for Topographic Information – Canada’s national topographic mapping agency with links for hardcopy and digital topographic maps

  • GeoBase – Government initiative that provides access to geospatial data, including Canadian Digital Elevation Data

The FMCBC provides general interest maps of the Goat River Trail, Mount Arrowsmith and the Nootka Trail. General Interest maps are not suited to navigation.

  • Elaho Publishing - Guidebooks and related products for rock climbers and mountaineers, centred on western Canada.

    Non-profit society that publishes hiking trail guides

  • Skaha Bluffs Climbing - Information on climbing at Skaha Bluffs.

  • Squamish Climbing – Information on climbing in the Squamish area.

  • trailpeak – Trails and trip reports for North America.

  • Recreation Sites and Trails BC – British Columbia provincial government resource on public campgrounds and trails located on Crown land outside of parks.

  • West Coast Ice - Reports on ice climbing conditions in British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest.

Access and Trail Organizations

  • Climbers Access Society of BC - Supports public access to the cliffs and mountains of British Columbia, and conservation of them.

  • Hike Canada en Marche - Creating the National Hiking Trail, with Hike BC coordinating the British Columbia section. The National Hiking Trail is the original footpath from coast to coast that was started in 1971.

  • Outdoor Recreation Council of BC - Represents the interests of the full range of public outdoor recreation users of British Columbia’s lands and waters.

  • Squamish Access Society - Dedicated to preserving access to the climbing areas in and around Squamish.

  • Trails BC – Coordinates the development of the multi-use Trans Canada Trail in British Columbia.
